The carburetor needs to be adjusted at least twice a year. According to the decrease and rise of the climatic temperature, the black automatic hot air coil spring needs to be relaxed and tightened, which will directly affect the opening and closing of the damper blades.

When installing the interface gasket, we recommend applying some grease on the gasket to help seal. The Autolite 1100 one-barrel carburetor was introduced in 1963 and was used on the 144, 170, and 200ci engines through 1969, covering models such as Maverick, Granada, Torino, and Mustang 1 barrel.

If the carburetor idle speed adjustment is not good, one of the adjustment methods is: Move the tail of the side of the link located at the acceleration pump position to the outside, do not keep it close to the accelerator pump diaphram position, but use pliers to pull it to the outside. In this way, during the linkage, the lever on the top of the carburetor can push the spring into the innermost, and the idle speed may return to normal.

The carburetor is installed on the 64 Mustang engine for testing. After you order it, you need to fine-tune the carburetor's idle screw and air mixing screw. The carburetor has 2 idle screws and 1 air mixing screw, and it is applicable to 1964-1968 Ford 170/200 straight 6 cyl engines.

This carburetor is simple in structure and easy to install. After installing the carburetor, if the fuel mixture is too rich and the exhaust pipe emits black smoke, it is necessary to adjust the idle mixing screw to reduce the fuel injection.

This product does not include air filters and copper fittings. The fuel filter size 1/8"-27 NPT fits our carburetor.
